The newest addition to the buddy buying family is Hoover Elementary School in Miami, Florida. Hoover Elementary purchased 120w corn lamps and will start to notice the savings immediately. Savings to the tune of about $3,000 per year. That is not bad for one purchase.

Hoover Elementary started their LED conversion with a few outdoor lighting fixtures. The old and inefficient 400w metal halide lights are being replaced with 120w, high output, LED corn lamps.

In addition to saving money by reducing energy usage from 400 watts down to 120 watts, the maintenance staff will no longer need to go through time consuming replacements. Unlike metal halide bulbs that burn out frequently due to a short life span, buddy buying LED corn lamps boast a 50,000-hour lifetime. These corn lamps will burn for about 12 years before needing replaced.

If something were to happen to a buddy buying corn lamp (Or any buddy buying product.) the friendly warranty team will immediately replace the light. Most buddy buying products come with a standard 5-year warranty while an increasing number of buddy buying LED’s carry a warranty of 8 years. That is how confident we are in our products!
